High Precision GPS receiver
From 2007 to 2012, I installed and maintained many high precision GPSs as part of developing a very first GPS network in Bangladesh. This was funded by NSF. The GPS receivers that we used was 4000ssi, Trimble NetRS, NetR8 and NetR9. There are
Trimble NetR9
Trimble NetRS
Trimble 4000ssi
I have used this Trimble receiver with in TRX mode with the OMNISTAR HP Correction service to obtain the elevation with the accuracy of ±10 cm.
OmniSTAR HP service is the most accurate solution available in the OmniSTAR portfolio of correction solutions. It is a L1/L2 solution requiring a dual frequency receiver. OmniSTAR HP corrections are modeled on a worldwide network of reference sites using carrier phase measurement to maximize accuracy. The expected 2-sigma (95%) accuracy of OmniSTAR HP is 10cm. It is particularly useful for Agricultural Machine guidance and many surveying tasks. It operates in real time and without the need for local Base Stations or telemetry links. OmniSTAR HP is a true advance in the use of GPS for on-the-go precise positioning.
Seismometers
I have also installed and maintained broadband and shortperiod seismometers in Bangladesh as a part of developing seismic network with the help of Columbia University and IRIS Passcal. The equipments that we used was mostly Guralp CMG 40T, and L4 sensors with RefTEK data logger.
Inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry (ICP-MS)
I have extensively use ICP-MS during my Ph.D. to run the U/Th analysis of the coral samples collected from the Saint Martin's island in Bangladesh. The goal was to date the corals to obtain the paleo earthquake record and to understand the Tectonics of the area. Thanks to Dr. Richard Mortlock and Dr. Nicole Abdul for helping on ICP-MS.
Micromeretics Sedigraphs
I have operated this particle size analyzers at Queens College to facilitate undergraduate research. I used to maintain the sedigraph and train the undergraduate students. The student conducted small undergraduate research presented poster in the student conference.

Resistivity Meter
We have conducted resistivity survey in Bangladesh to document neo-tectonic features such as small fault. And for this, we have extensively used Super Sting R8 resistivity meter.
Full spectrum sub-bottom profiler
In 2008 and 2009, we have surveys the Bay of Bengal with the EDGETECH full spectrum sub bottom profiler to document the evidence of mass failure caused by cyclones.
Handheld XRF
Portable XRF is a well documented and valuable tool for regulatory driven analysis of heavy and priority pollutant metals in residential soils. I have used handheld XRF to document the composition of the drill hole sediment.
Other instruments
I have occasionally used SEM-EDX and XRD
